crime which led to this person. still don't know their i.d. and that person ended up running on to the freeway and was hit by that truck. no word on that person's condition. like you said, the highway is shut down. if i see you we can turn around -- right now looks like it cleared up quite a bit. traffic has been sort of at a standstill -- stop and go here as the lights change and cars get stuck trying to get on and off the all the onramps on shut down on boulder highway and the freeway is closed from flamingo to boulder highway. if you have plans to be in the 95 on in this area try to find another route because traffic is going to be a mess as metro continues this investigation. we'll have more updates on this coming up on later editions of news 3. sergio avila, news 3 back to you. >> dana: thank you. it's been a very busy noon. we have more breaking news.

arizona, about a 2 hour drive south of las vegas. according to the kingman daily newspaper -- you are looking at their website -- a police officer has been shot, is in serious but stable condition at kingman regional medical center. we understand the police officer was trying to serve a search warrant in the 1700 block of miami avenue. if you know that area, a shootout ensued between the officer and the resident at the house. the resident was shot and killed. we have a c later in this newscast and on "news 3 live at three." >> kyndell: at least one person is dead and dozens others injured after a train crashed into a commuter station in hoboken new jersey. >> dana: we had this as breaking news around 6:00 this morning. this was at the height of rush hour. chris pollone has more from the scene. >> reporter: a devastating scene in new jersey's hoboken train station just outside of

into the station. it happened quickly and without warning. passengers on the train thrown wildly. up to 100 people injured. stunned passengers staggered out. >> the people in front of me were badly injured and we heard people screaming they were trapped. >> reporter: many passengers were able to make it out of the train to safety. >> i thought people would be pinned where we were but we were able to kind of climb over seats and get out the window. >> reporter: according to witnesses, the train carrying about 250 passengers failed to terminal. >> it came in at a high rate of speed, went through the bumper block, through the air, took the ceiling out. it was just -- horrific. >> reporter: the station one of the busiest in the new york city area is used by thousands of commuters who travel back and forth daily from new jersey to new york city. rail service has been suspended in and out of hoboken as the investigation into the cause of the crash gets underway. chris pollone, nbc news,

train is in critical condition. officials with the national transportation safety board in washington, d.c. say they're so-called go team will arrive at the crash site later today to determine the exact cause of that crash. >> dana: that's a big question, right. why did this happen? commuters especially want to know. they want to know they'll be safe. time to check out the weather forecast. kelly curran, i see clouds behind you. is there any rain out there? >> kelly: there sure is. most of it is confined our local picture. this is the radar where we are seeing showers popping up on the local mountain mountains. the bulk of the precipitation down into arizona. even a pretty good sized thunderstorm cell to the southeast of flag staff. here is a time-lapse look at what we've seen so far this morning in pahrump. we have had sprinkles, even virga where it doesn't reach the ground. that's what we've seen moving through. most of the cloud cover, most of the shower activity confined to our local mountains.

[ laughter ] >> dana: it's supposed to be close to 90 this weekend which is perfect. but a cold cup of brew might cool you down a little bit. is this art for sale? >> absolutely. all the artists have come in and the art is for sale.
